FS cable cabinets

FS type “Z1” cable cabinets were used at high-voltage substations to house secondary circuits for current and voltage transformers in switchgear bays, outgoing circuits for circuit breakers and disconnectors, and automation and protection equipment.

The standard design is an outdoor IP55 aluminium enclosure with double walls, thermal insulation and RAL 7035 finish. Other dimensions, an uninsulated single-wall enclosure or a non-standard colour could be requested subject to agreement with the technical department.

Construction and equipment

• Solid aluminium doors with a patent lock handle in the outer skin.
• Hinged mimic-diagram plate (420 mm high), equipment mounting frame and plinth.
• Fire barrier, canopy, inner walls and ventilated frame.
• Inner door skin, document pocket and mounting crossbars.
• 150/250 mm mounting plates and cable-clamp brackets.

Inner wall components were omitted in the single-wall version. The Accessories include concrete foundations, fire and split barriers, hinged and mounting plates, electrical installation plates, mounting uprights, AWSC brackets and PHN cable holders.
