Substation cabinets

Substation cabinets house equipment and secondary circuits in high-voltage switchgear bays. Depending on the project, they accommodate current and voltage transformer circuits, circuit-breaker and disconnector circuits, automation and protection equipment.

HOKE carries out assembly in its own FS aluminium cable cabinets, with double insulated walls or an agreed single-wall version, and in enclosures from other manufacturers specified by the customer. The configuration and scope follow the current execution documents and project-specific technical agreements.

Assembly scope

• line and transformer bays;
• bus coupler and voltage measurement bays;
• AWSC systems with a Fechlar resistor;
• relay, equipment and control-system installation to the project schematics.

Examples of configurations

The HOKE catalogue illustrates a cable cabinet for a 110 kV bay with a measurement system, a transformer-bay control cabinet, an AWSC resistor installed in an FS-1-1 cabinet, relays on a mounting plate and protection equipment on a swing frame. The project documents determine the final components and layout.

What to include in an enquiry

Send the current schematics and execution drawings, the bay type and cabinet purpose, the equipment list, and indicate whether HOKE or the customer will supply the enclosure. Requirements for labels, acceptance and handover documents are best agreed at the start.
